What are the main challenges facing the region in the Blue Economy sector?

What ideas and solutions from the circular economy and artificial intelligence can be applied to the sector to address some of its critical issues?

What new technological solutions and innovative business models are there?

To try to answer these questions, the CIIRCLE project – Inter-Regional Competitiveness and Innovation: a Cluster of Excellence – is organizing a regional Hackathon that will bring together businesses, startups, spin-offs, experts, professionals, researchers, universities, students, innovators, and anyone who can contribute ideas, knowledge, skills, and discussion points. These critical issues will be explored and developed within working groups, seeking to develop solutions to address the needs of the Blue Economy in our region.

The Hackathon, which is free to attend, will take place during the Genoa International Boat Show in the first week of October 2026.
