The FRIHUB project – Franco-Italian hub for the dual transition of businesses, funded by the INTERREG IT-FR Maritime Program 2021–2027, supports SMEs in digital and sustainable innovation processes in the Italian-French regions.

The University of Genoa participates in the project through the Department of Civil, Chemical, and Environmental Engineering (DICCA), with Francesca Pirlone as scientific director, the collaboration of the Urban Planning and Technology research group (Ilenia Spadaro, Fabrizio Bruno), and the participation of Flavio Tonelli and Fabrizio Barberis.

The Department of Mechanical, Energy, Management, and Transport Engineering (DIME) at the University of Genoa will host a morning discussion on March 20, 2026, dedicated to the relationship between intelligence, industrial systems, and complex infrastructure.

The initiative will feature the participation of Professor Mario Caligiuri of the University of Calabria, President of the Italian Intelligence Society (SOCINT).


From March 4 to 6, 2026, the Department of Mechanical, Energy, Management, and Transport Engineering (DIME) of the University of Genoa participated, as a guest of NEOS/ENVISION, in MECSPE 2026, the leading Italian event dedicated to advanced manufacturing technologies. The event brought together over 2,000 exhibiting companies and numerous players in research, industry, and technological innovation in Bologna.
