The Department of Mechanical, Energy, Management, and Transport Engineering (DIME) at the University of Genoa will host a morning discussion on March 20, 2026, dedicated to the relationship between intelligence, industrial systems, and complex infrastructure.
The initiative will feature the participation of Professor Mario Caligiuri of the University of Calabria, President of the Italian Intelligence Society (SOCINT).
The morning will take place in the Salone del Piano Nobile of Villa Cambiaso, the historic headquarters of the Polytechnic School of the University of Genoa, and will feature a seminar on "Industrial and Economic Intelligence in Complex Infrastructure Systems."
After greetings from our Dean, Professor Patrizia Perego, the meeting will be opened by the coordinator of the Management Engineering program, Professor Silvano Cincotti, and will continue with a keynote address by Professor Caligiuri on intelligence as a decision-making method in complex systems.
The seminar will conclude with a presentation by Professor Flavio Tonelli on the topic "From the physical port to the data port: intelligence as an invisible infrastructure," followed by a Q&A session and discussion with the students.
The initiative represents an opportunity for dialogue between engineering, management sciences, and intelligence studies, with the aim of exploring the growing role of strategic analysis in contemporary industrial and infrastructural systems.
