INDUSTRIAL LEADERSHIP IN OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND THE ENERGY TRANSITION
Abstract:
The two Round Tables offer an integrated understanding of the main challenges currently facing occupational safety and the energy transition, analyzing the systemic criticalities of current regulatory frameworks and the organizational models that govern their implementation. Particular attention is paid to safety as an enabling factor for sustainable development and the role of nuclear power as a strategic energy carrier in the decarbonization process, also in relation to risk management, a culture of prevention, and the resilience of complex systems. The discussion aims to overcome a merely prescriptive approach, highlighting the persistent gap between theoretical-regulatory frameworks and operational practice, and to define pragmatic, technically sound, and concretely applicable solutions. The goal is to strengthen the effectiveness of prevention and safety policies by promoting regulatory and management models capable of supporting technological innovation and the energy transition with a view to real applicability, sustainability, and the protection of human capital.
