Registration is now open for the 4th edition of the Master's Degree in Safety Management of Transport Networks and Systems, sponsored by the Department of Mechanical, Energy, Management, and Transport Engineering (DIME), in collaboration with the Department of Civil, Chemical, and Environmental Engineering (DICCA).

The Master's Degree is offered in partnership with the Italian Welding Institute (ISS) and under the patronage of the National Agency for the Safety of Railways, Road, and Motorway Infrastructure (ANSFISA).

The Master's Degree

The Master's Degree trains professionals specialized in the safety management of transport infrastructure and systems, with multidisciplinary skills that integrate legal, economic, managerial, and technical-engineering aspects. The program is aimed at those who intend to work as Safety Managers or safety experts for network operators, public administrations, engineering firms, regulatory bodies, and companies in the sector.

The program, worth 60 credits (CFU), will be offered starting October 2026 using a blended learning approach, alternating online classes with some in-person meetings. Participants who are already employed will be offered project work as an alternative to the internship.

Registration and Benefits

Applications must be submitted by 12:00 noon on September 15, 2026, exclusively through the online procedure. The Master's program offers tuition fee reductions:

• for public administration staff participating in the PA 110 e lode initiative;
• for employees and members of partner organizations, including IIS, CIFI, ANTEL, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, and UNICMI.
